The 5th of November has been celebrated as Bonfire Night and Fireworks Night ever since Guy Fawkes was captured in 1605. Across Britain, we celebrate in remembrance of Parliament’s near escape from the Gunpowder Plot. We do this by lighting bonfires and setting fireworks off. Here are some of the best places to see the fireworks near Wrexham.
Gresford Bonfire Night 2021
Gresford Bonfire night will take place on Friday the 5th November, from 6 pm to 11 pm. It will be held at Gresford memorial and is an organized display by Gresford Athletic FC. The admission fee is £5 per Adult and £3 per Child.
Bryn-Y-Grog Bonfire
Bryn-Y-Grog brings to you a wonderful firework display, along with a huge bonfire, plenty of fair rides, and much more! The event will take place on the 7th of November. The gates will open at 4 pm, and the bonfire will be lit between 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm. The entry fee is £5 per person, however, under 5’s go free. The Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza 2021
The Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza in Chester Racecourse will take place on the 6th of November at 5 pm. It is said that the children’s firework display will start around 6:45, then the adult’s fireworks are said to start around 7:30. (Times are subject to change) At this event, there will be a wide range of food and drink options.

- Llandudno- The event will be held on Llandudno North Shore Alongside the Llandudno Pier. It is set to begin at 6:20 on the 7th of November.
- Colwyn Bay- The event will be held on the 5th of November at Eirias Park, in Colwyn Bay. The bonfire will be lit around 7:15 and the fireworks at set to begin around 7:30
