Honor Oak Park Area guide

Perfectly perched between upmarket East Dulwich, up-and-coming Forest Hill, cool Crofton Park and bustling Brockley, it’s no wonder Honor Oak Park has become such a desirable destination.

This leafy little corner of South-East London has its own railway station with speedy links into central London making it an ideal option for commuters. London Bridge is just 15 minutes by train, Shoreditch is under 25 minutes away, and Canary Wharf can be reached in 20 minutes with a quick change at Canada Water.

It’s a great location for foodies too. Honor Oak Park is home to Babur, a gourmet Indian restaurant hailed in Time Out and the Harden’s Guide as one of the best in the capital. The Mamma Dough pizzeria and long-established Sardinian restaurant Le Querce have both won widespread acclaim in the media too and are always busy.

The area is peaceful but packed with plenty of amenities from a Sainsbury’s Local to a delicatessen, an organic beauty salon and an upcycled furniture shop. And if you’re not afraid of scaling its many hills, this undulating enclave has plenty of green spaces too, offering gorgeous views across the city from high points such as One Tree Hill and Blythe Hill.

"With a diverse community, good transport links, parks and open spaces and many independent businesses – Honor Oak has plenty of hidden (and not so hidden) gems!"
