The magnificent glass palace from which it takes its famous name may be long gone, but Crystal Palace definitely retains its shine.
At the core of the lovely landscape is the 200-acre Crystal Palace Park – home to the National Sports Centre and several life-sized dinosaurs… just warn the kids!
If running away from the monsters leaves you breathless, the Crystal Palace triangle has the bars and restaurants, and the retail therapy, to settle the nerves.
You can relax at Haynes Lane Market, or with a cocktail at The Exhibition Rooms.
It’s also a great base for fans of live entertainment or the fresh open air. Canada Water and the Docklands is only a 20-minute train journey away, opening the door to the O2 Arena on the tube.
But if you want to stay at home and celebrate what’s on the doorstep, the Crystal Palace Overground Festival brings the community together in the name of arts, music and culture.
With its swathes of green spaces, terrific transport links and plethora of places to unwind, it’s crystal clear that Crystal Palace offers just about everything.
