Our We Switch You service allows you to swap the management of your property to us with your tenant still in-situ, and without any unnecessary hassle or complications.
Similar to the switching services that building societies and banks offer, our property specialists here at Northwood Edinburgh will do all the leg work for you.

It is probable that you will have signed something like a ‘terms of business’ or ‘management agreement’ document when you initially placed your property with your current letting agent.
When opting to end this arrangement, the aforementioned document(s) will tell you:
It’s important to bear in mind that if your current letting agent has failed to provide the level of service they initially agreed to, or if they have significantly changed their terms, it’s unlikely that they will be able to hold you to them.

If you decide to switch your property to Northwood Edinburgh then – as long as it meets our criteria in terms of condition and location – all you need to do is:
Next we will carry out the following steps to complete the handover efficiently:
Step 1: We will contact your current agent and arrange a detailed handover on an agreed date.
Step 2: We will introduce ourselves to your tenant, provide them with our contact details, obtain keys and prepare the relevant documentation for the day of the handover.
Step 3: We will make sure that the tenancy deposit is re-registered under our membership for continual protection.
Step 4: We will arrange a property inspection with your tenant once the handover is complete. This will give us an opportunity to meet with your tenant to discuss any concerns (if you have been unhappy with your existing letting and estate agents, your tenants may have been too.)
Step 5: We will finalise and issue you and your tenant with your new Northwood documentation.
Once the above steps have been taken, we will then process your £250 thank you gift!
*If you then decide to swap again and place your property elsewhere within the first 12 months of switching to Northwood, all we ask is that you reimburse us with a repayment of £120 to contribute towards our administrative costs.
