Croydon was the site of the UK’s first international airport and also boasted the UK’s first public railway. Croydon is still well served by transport links with three railways stations offering services to central London and Gatwick Airport from East Croydon and London Overground connections from West Croydon to Canary Wharf and The City. The Croydon Tramlink network connects the town to Wimbledon in the west.
Croydon is home to the famous BRIT School and boasts numerous other excellent primary and senior schools. With over 120 parks and open spaces there in plenty of green space in the borough from South Norwood Country Park in the north of the borough to Happy Valley in the south.
