We're fundraising for 3 charities!

This year we’re celebrating our 15th year in business and to mark the milestone, we’ve pledged our commitment to help at least 15 local charities.

Each month, we’ve donated our time to charities in a way that is helpful. From odd jobs to painting, jet-washing to sorting, mucking-out and bathing tortoises to weeding and counting puzzle pieces. We’ve helped truly outstanding charities including Somebody Cares, Befriend a Child, SensationALL, HomeStart, Maggie’s and Halfpenny Animal Sanctuary and have secured dates with Cyrenians, MISS Miscarriage Support, Denis Law Trust, Mission Christmas, JAS Counselling and Grampian Women’s Aid.

On Friday 23rd August, we’ll push ourselves to our physical limits by walking 18.6 miles – from our brand new office in Banchory to our original office in Rosemount, Aberdeen.

Alongside our neighbours at TaxAssist, we’re encouraging YOU to get involved!

All money raised will be split amongst our chosen charities – as nominated by our team and voted by our clients and contractors:

Ways to get involved

1. Walk with us!

The walk in open to everyone – grab your boots and water bottle and join us on the walk. Whether you do the full 18 miles, jump in (or out!) at any of our checkpoints or volunteer to help on the day, we’d love to have you.

Please email us and we’ll send you a registration pack to be returned no later than 12th August, along with some further information you might need. Then, all you need to do is get fundraising to raise at least £100!

2. Help us on the day

We have three checkpoints along the way, and would love some extra help on the day to dish out refreshments and keep morale high! Please email us to register your interest.

3. Donate

Most importantly, please help us raise as much as we can for these amazing charities! We are so grateful for any donations. Every penny will be donated directly to Forget Me Not, Aberdeen Amateur Athletic Club and Friends of Anchor. Where possible, please chose to give GiftAid. Link.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to do the full 18 mile walk?

No! You can join us for as long or as little as you feel comfortable. Meet us at any of our pitstops and join in, or stop there. We’re also looking for helpers at our checkpoints, so if that’s more your thing – let us know!

How much do I need to fundraise?

As much as possible! We ask that you raise at least £100 per person. You can share our link, or transfer your own donations.

Can I fundraise for my own chosen charity?

Our three charities for the year were voted for by our teams and clients, so all money raised will be split between Forget Me Not, Aberdeen Amateur Athletic Club and Friends of Anchor.

Can my dog come?

Absolutely, well behaved dogs are more than welcome!

Can I cycle?

To ensure accurate head-counts at each check-point, we ask you to join us by foot.

I’m not sure if I’m fit enough and might be left behind?

We’re all in this together. Nobody will be left on their own at any point, and we’ll do a headcount at each check-point. The full route is 18.6 miles however you can join us at any of our check-points, Bieldside to Rosemount is the shortest leg of the journey at 5 miles if you’d prefer.

What happens if it rains?

Dress appropriately! That may mean enough layers to cover all four seasons in the day. In the case of extreme weather, we’ll postpone and contact all participants directly.
