Just before Christmas, we strengthened our team as we welcomed Maureen. She’s joined us in the position of administrator and receptionist, bringing more than 20 years experience in the lettings industry with her.
Meet Maureen
Maureen began her career in lettings as a receptionist at Simpson Brebner in Aberdeen, and has since worked in property management, been a viewing agent, and a lease administrator for several companies in Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Inverness.
Her most recent role as an Inventory Clerk with Rubislaw Inventories and Relocation involved carrying out inventory and check out reports, as well as assisting clients who were relocating from overseas to Aberdeen with all aspects of their move, from helping them find suitable properties to researching schools.
Maureen said: “A large part of my new role at Northwood involves dealing with the public and customer service, managing client enquiries and key management, as well as helping when required with accounts and sales.
“Everyone has been very welcoming, helpful, and supportive and I am looking forward to the new challenges the job presents.”
Strengthening Northwood North East Scotland’s Vision for Growth
Opened by Laura Mearns and her husband, Steven, in 2009, Northwood North East Scotland is based in Aberdeen’s Rosemount Place and West High Street Inverurie. The business is a franchise of Northwood GB, part of lettings group Belvoir, which has more than 90 offices around the UK.
Laura said that Maureen’s experience in the lettings industry will help bolster the company’s aspirations for growth as it approaches its 15th anniversary next year.
“Maureen shares our passion for the industry, the local area and the North-east property market, and she is already proving to be an invaluable member of the Northwood team,” Laura said.
