We walked 18.6 miles from our newest office on Banchory High Street to our original office, opened 15 years ago, in Rosemount Aberdeen.
We were joined by our neighbouring TaxAssist team as well as some of our nearest and dearest friends, family and fabulous business connections.
With plenty of time to connect and catch up, it was a great time to reflect on our journey. When Laura opened Northwood in 2009, she could only have dreamed of having three offices and a team of 15 to help make her vision – to become the sales and lettings agent of choice – a reality.
The team raised over £3,000 which will be split between Aberdeen Amateur Athletic Club, Forget Me Not and Friends of Anchor. These charities were amongst the list nominated by our team and then voted for by our contractors, clients and general public. Our donations are still open, and we’re grateful for all contributions. This walk was one of many events to give back to our community and we have pledged our support to at least 15 local charities. From odd jobs to painting, jet-washing to sorting, mucking-out and bathing tortoises to weeding and counting puzzle pieces. We’ve helped truly outstanding charities including Somebody Cares, Befriend a Child, SensationALL, HomeStart, Maggie’s and Halfpenny Animal Sanctuary and have secured dates with Cyrenians, MISS Miscarriage Support, Denis Law Trust, Mission Christmas, JAS Counselling and Grampian Women’s Aid. Live and love local goes beyond simply being a value written on our walls, our commitment runs strong. Some may say we’d walk through fire for it! And, in November, we will indeed take on a fire walk to raise more money for our chosen charities.
