Operations Director Matt recently celebrated his 16th anniversary with Northwood! Matt has been with the company since it first opened its doors in 2009 and has been instrumental in helping it grow and making it the success it is today.
What’s the best part of your job at Northwood?
Seeing all the wonderful and unique properties across the North-east and hearing from the owners their story and seeing how we can help them. No two days are the same!
Can you name one or two highlights of your time at Northwood?
The national award ceremony in 2019 was a real highlight of all our hard work as a team and a personal highlight was the celebration of my own 15 years of service at Northwood.
What have been the biggest challenges?
The market conditions during the oil crash and throughout the pandemic were some of the most difficult, and yet inspirational years, as we battled to support all our clients through tough times.
What’s the funniest/most memorable thing to have happened during your time at Northwood?
There are so many stories of inspections, landlords with a brilliant sense of humour, some great team members and some exceptional properties we have been privileged to be of service to.
Is there any part of the job you don’t enjoy?
Not really, I am quite happy getting on with the job we love to do.
