On 16th August, we were a proud sponsor for the brilliant Pride of Inverurie for a second year, this time supporting the Future Focus awards. Live and Love Local is one of our core values at Northwood, and there are few events that are more fitting.
Nominated by the community, we met with the three finalists – all of whom were worthy winners. We would like to take this opportunity to say well done to everyone who made it to this stage – Mr Nicoll of Straburn Primary School, Stuart Wood a coach and mentor at Inverurie Locos Ladies football team and the winner, Sharon Hall of Dyslexia Routes.
“Sharon is an amazing lady who supports children and families to understand Dyslexia.”
“Sharon provides masterclasses so people understand the characteristics of Dyslexia, what to look for, and how to support children.”
“Society is taking so long to accept dyslexia as a different way of processing and learning. Sharon’s mission is to change this.”
We are delighted to announce Sharon Hall the winner of the Future Focus Award at Pride of Inverurie 2024. Sharon’s dedication to supporting children with dyslexia through tutoring and masterclasses is transforming lives. Her mission to change societal perceptions of dyslexia is truly inspiring.
Congratulations, Sharon!
