As November is Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re excited to announce our 15×15 charity day initiative. We’ve partnered with JAS Counselling to support their vital work in helping young people.
Last year, we were inspired by James’s story at Pride of Inverurie. We were so impressed with his personal journey and unwavering commitment to helping young people overcome challenges.
This month, James will join us to share more about his experiences and offer practical tips and coping strategies – helping us personally and professionally! We have also donated money so that James can offer discounted or free packages to individuals or families in need.
We also go to know our neighbours at Avenue provide support to families and individuals across the North East, with a focus on relationships, wellbeing and children. They invited us around their premises in Belgrave House and we were blown away with their passion and commitment to young people and family. As with all charity partnerships this year, we’ve been determined to help in a way that is helpful. So when we determined volunteering our time wouldn’t be appropriate, we agreed to help them fundraise for a new sofa.
“It might not be the first thing you think of but a comfortable sofa is a vital component to facilitating our family time sessions. A sofa makes the environment feel natural, cosy and homely, allowing children and families to spend meaningful time together in a place that feels like home. For children, little and big, the ability to share a cuddle, story, games and even to build a pillow fort when spending time with the important adults in their life is vital when it comes to relationships, and thats where the sofa comes in.“
